BROMLEY GREEN RECOGNISE STAND-OUT CONTRIBUTIONS

Bromley Green FC held two presentation events to celebrate the club’s success at senior and junior level.

Pat Penfold was named clubman of the year in recognition of his coaching work and commitment to both mainstream and disability football.

Long-serving Terry Perk received the chairman’s award for endeavour, with Sid Hone named manager of the year for his work with the under-10s.

Louis Burton (youth player) and Nicole Baker (most improved player) won two awards made in memory of Tommy Stafford and Peter Knott.

Levii Loyza (senior) and Amir Zureiqi (under18s) were named players’ of the season, voted for by their team-mates.

Club patron Dave Homewood said: “We have secured sponsorship for all our 18 teams, and are working with the Kent FA on ways to retain players to progress from youth to adult football.

“A return to Sunday league football in the coming season as well as a move back to the Kent County League in 2017-18 are part of our future planning.”
