Sculpture trail brings art to youngsters
A music festival got an estimated 12,000 revellers to their feet in the glorious summer sunshine on Saturday.
Create Music Festival’s 21st birthday party in Victoria Park was headlined by David Bowie tribute act David Live, on the Ashford College main stage.
The performance included Bowie’s classic hits Let’s Dance, Heroes and Life on Mars, finishing off with the stunning Space Oddity.
The headline act on the revelation stage, Gentlemen of Few, brought their American bluegrass sound, while Charley Monroe’s cover songs entertained the Fountain Stage crowd.
Radio Ashford broadcasters took control of the DJ stage and kept the party going.
It was a day for families, too, who enjoyed picnics under gazebos, amusement rides, shopping in the Loveashford zone and following a sculpture trail designed for youngsters that was opened
on day by Ashford Mayor Cllr George Koowaree.
