On the moo-ve again

The much admired Highland cattle that have been in The Warren in Ashford this summer have been moved back to Hothfield Common.

The four animals had been grazing on the site since June to the delight of dog walkers and other visiting the wildife site off Fougeres Way.

The new additions brings the total number of cattle on the Hothfield site on the A20 towards Charing up to 22.

Ian Rickards, Ashford warden for Kent Wildlife Trust said: “It is an ongoing project for next year, and the cattle could potentially return this autumn if there is enough food and work for them to do.”

The cattle became a popular tourist attraction in Ashford during their time in The Warren.
