Hospice says hats the way to do it

-

Headgear will be all the rage at the Ashford Pilgrims Hospice summer fair.

Ascot may be famous for its hats, but Pilgrims is hoping its new accessory stall with its collection of hats suitable for all occasions will be just as inspirational. If you need one for a summer wedding then head over to see what delights they have.

The accessory stall this year will also provide some designer items at half price including items from Abercrombie and Fitch and T.J. Lewin. As well as hats, there will be handbags, gloves and even a small selection of eveningwear.

The fair will be held in the grounds of Pilgrims Hospice, Hythe Road on Saturday, August 6 from noon to 4pm. Once again Stagecoach is providing a free park and ride shuttle bus service from 11.30am at the MershamLe-Hatch Business Village just along the A20 (TN25 6NH) to ease parking congestion on the hospice site.

The event will feature a variety of craft stalls, bottle and gift tombolass, games for the children, wonderful cakes and visitors can also enjoy a Pimms and lemonade. In total there will be around 50 stalls.

Victoria Lawrence, community fundraising manager said: “Many volunteers have been very busy preparing for the event and we have had some fabulous donations of items for the day. The support from the local community has been fantastic and I look forward to seeing everyone turn up to support this really fun day of fundraising.”

It is still not to too late to donate items for the fair. If you are a cake baker, jam maker or grow plants or produce, the organisers would welcome anything you have to offer. If you are not so creative but can donate a bottle of anything from shampoo to champagne please drop them in at the Ashford Hospice for the fundraising team.
