Charity dinner

Talk Sport’s Mark Saggers is hosting a fundraising ball in aid of Ashford-based charity Abbie’s Army.

The Discovery Ball will be held at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel on Saturday, October 22 – the charity’s fourth birthday. From 7pm to 1am there will be live entertainment from Firefly, an auction, a raffle, and a three-course dinner. Prof Chris Jones from The Institute of Cancer Research will be speaking about DIPG research, the rare tumour that took the life of six-year-old Abbie Mifsud from Ashford.
