Bike trials rider and performer Scott Wilson heads back to the Czech Republic next month for another tilt at the World Championship. The 26-year-old from Lydd is a seven-time British champion, reigning European champion and ranked No.4 in the world elite standings. As well as competitions, Wilson also performs at major events around the world, including the Bahrain Grand Prix, Mumbai Techfest, Twickenham and the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which attracted more than 600,000 spectators over four days. Wilson said: “The 2016 season has been good for me, I am leading the Crowthorne Cycles Expert Elite Series which covers the South of England. I finished third in the British Biketrial Championship and currently lead the European Cup, winning the opening round held in Derbyshire.” He added: “I was invited to ride at Goodwood, the biggest motoring event in the world alongside Dougie Lampkin (trials), Ricky Carmichael (motocross), Jenson Button (Formula 1) and Ken Block (rallying). “I have just returned from a three week trip to the Czech Republic and Sweden. “I was at Dressler in the Czech Republic, a massive trials festival and camp, while in Sweden I performed at another four-day event – the Asele Marknad, the largest show in the north of the country, in front of around 150,000 spectators.”
