A tartan clan for both highlands and lowlands
Och aye the yew!
A fencing company has introduced a new tartan design to its premium garden fencing range.
Stowting-based Jacksons Fencing has unveiled Tartan Trellis, a new spin on the more traditional form of trellis fencing.
The design involves placing the batons at irregular spacings to create a distinctive pattern effect, reminiscent of plaid or tartan, giving the new product its name.
It was first introduced to the gardening world last month at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, with 22 of the newstyle panels creating a boundary that allowed light and air to filter through.
This was seen by the many thousands of visitors who headed to the show’s famous Butterfly Dome area.
Earlier research by the company had indicated that there was an opportunity in the market for a modern trellis product.
Louise Tomlin of Jacksons Fencing said: ‘One of our more exciting challenges is to come up with fresh ideas that will inspire our customers, offering new choices for the garden and other outdoor areas.
