Partying for a good cause

-

Popular village party Wobbly Bob’s Charity Ball netted a whopping £800 for the Pilgrims Hospice.

The event last Saturday, which is in its 11th year, saw regular fundraisers head to Bridge House in Mersham to have a good time, and raise some cash for a good cause.

Organiser Robert Thompson, aka ‘Wobbly Bob’, said: “We had an all-night party with live music and DJs late into the night.

“It was held in the back garden of my house, where once a year we put on a good old shindig and collect for charity.

“The weather this year was far from perfect with some lively dance move being achieved by the main tent because of the strong winds.

“But the rain later failed to dampen our spirits and the music just rolled on and on.

“It was all very good, we didn’t get a single noise complaint from the village so I’m hopeful we can go again next year!”
