Chance to go on bat walk
Enjoy the last days of summer with a walk around Singleton lake looking for and learning about some elusive wildlife.
Experts from the Kent Bat Group are running a bat walk next Thursday from 7.30pm, starting from the venue’s car park
Since 1983 members of the group have been monitoring, surveying, rescuing and working to conserve our native bats as well as educating the public about them. Equipped with detectors, participants will learn how to spot and identify the different types of bats that live around the lake, and learn many interesting facts about these fascinating animals. There is no charge for the walk, but donations to Kent Bat Group will be appreciated, to help them carry out their valuable work.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring a torch.
