Police release e-fits of dog-theft suspects

- By Vicky Castle

Police have released e-fit images of men they want to speak to in connection with a burglary in which a chihuahua was taken.

Bailey was reported stolen from Cleves Way, Ashford, on Wednesday, August 10, between 11am and 1.15pm.

Incredibly, the pet was returned after her owners made a heartfelt Facebook plea to leave her in the garden with “no questions asked” but officers are still keen to trace the culprits.

They also made off with cash and jewellery, both of which are still missing.

Mum-of-two Brydee Hill said she called police when she discovered her back door window had been smashed and Bailey was missing.

Three three days after the appeal, Bailey was left in her garden. Brydee said she thinks her campaign and the help of KentOnline made Bailey ‘too hot to handle’.

Now, officers have released computer generated images of the men they would like to trace who were reported to be in the area at the time.

One is described as white, aged 20 to 25 years old, 5ft 8in tall with a medium build. He had black hair and wore blue or black jeans and a black jumper.

The second is aged 20 to 25 years old, white, 6ft tall with a slim build. He had ginger hair and wore blue or black jeans with a brown jumper.
