Shoelace shopper put his foot in it

-

Shoelaces ... not exactly an item most of us give too much thought to.

That is unless you go and buy some, put them into your shoes and suddenly discover they are long enough to tie up the Queen Mary in Southampton Docks.

That’s what happened to an N&B’er when his shoelace broke and he popped into Wilko in the town centre to buy a new pair.

He got a little confused about the different pictorial images on the packaging as to what size was what.

(Let’s face it, he was lucky to have come back with black ones for his black shoes, rather than brown!)

So he returned with a pair of black shoelaces that were about a yard long.

When he’d installed them in his shoes he realised but felt too embarrassed to take them back so is ‘making do’.

He ties them in a double knot but still feels like Bobo the circus clown whenever he wears that particular pair of shoes.
