Warming to the Arctic Circle

-

It’s been the adventure of a lifetime for members of the 6th Ashford Scout Group who explored the wilds of Alaska.

Scouts and Cubs from the group have returned after exploring the far corners of the American state and taking part in activities that included white water rafting on the River Nenana and hiking across the Matanuska glacier.

The group made it as far north as the Arctic Circle.

Pam Packman, Group Scout Leader said: “The Alaskan adventure has been a great success and was made possible by sponsorship from Keith Cornell at Sandgate based Whynotrecycle.”
