Norton Knatchbull School Pupils were celebratin­g another successful year of A-level results last week, with 58% achieving A* to B grades.

The overall pass rate for sixth formers at the school in Hythe Road, Ashford, was a whopping 99%, with an impressive 25% achieving highest marks of A* to B.

One pupil, John West, received an incredible four A* grades in chemistry, maths, further maths and physics. He will be heading to St Andrew’s University in Scotland to study maths.

Susanne Staab, head teacher, said: “The vast majority of our students will continue their studies at university and have already received firm offers of a place.

“Furthermor­e, a number of our students have secured valuable apprentice­ships which will afford them a range of career developmen­t opportunit­ies whilst training.

“We wish all of our students the very best for the future, and thank all the staff who helped them to achieve these results.” Highworth Grammar School) Pupils achieved “magnificen­t” A-level results last week.

The Quantock Drive sixth formers were delighted with their grades, with 74% of pupils being awarded A*s to Bs.

Alannah King was all smiles after securing a place at Cambridge University to study natural science and classmate Naomi Wilson will also be going to the prestigiou­s university to study economics.

Jack Pierce will be heading to Exeter University to study economics and finance.

Susan Welch, Highworth’s head of sixth form, said: “We are so very proud of our students who have achieved magnificen­t results across all subject areas this year.

“They have worked hard to achieve this success and we wish them all the very best as they progress into higher education, apprentice­ships, employment and gap years.

“We are pleased that our Oxbridge and medicine students have been successful and that the majority of our A-level students have achieved their first choice of university courses. It’s been another great year for Highworth Sixth Form.”
