Police in extensive search along A20

Police and ambulance crews mounted an “extensive search” on land land alongside the A20 following reports of concern for the welfare of a person.

Up to six emergency services were seen gathered at a layby near Hothfield at around 5pm on Saturday.

But a police spokesman said despite scouring the area nothing was found.
