Roadshow lift for campaign

-

A Charing tyre specialist hosted a roadshow event as part of its support for the Children’s Air Ambulance (CAA), the only dedicated national helicopter service that transports critically ill children across the UK.

The event at Charing Motors, off Maidstone Road, was part of the nationwide 101 Years of Adventure roadshow, organised by tyre manufacturer, General Tire. Charing Motors is the official General Tire partner for the area.

The garage team will continue to raise money throughout the month towards the charity’s campaign to fund a second helicopter.

Dawson Blake, from Charing Motors, said: “We’re really proud to support the Children’s Air Ambulance. It does amazing work with just one helicopter so I’m really hoping the charity manages to fund a second.”

Tracy Grunwell of the Children’s Air Ambulance, said: “It’s our hope that one day we can fund a second helicopter.”

The roadshow visit on August 15 featured a 5.5m long inflatable CAA helicopter. Raffle tickets were sold offering people the chance to win an Apple Watch, Land Rover Experience or a family day out.
