Harris hits double as Loco win again
Premier Division VICTORY OVER HAMSTREET KEEPS UP PROMISING START
AFC Locomotive and Market Hotel both maintained their 100% winning starts with victories against Hamstreet and newly-promoted Charing Sunday respectively.
Loco won 2-0 at Hamstreet winning 2-0, thanks to Steve Harris’ double.
Market won 4-0 at Charing, Kieran Sanger netted his first goal for the club with Ryan Smith, Matt Collins and Tom Ripley completing the scoring.
Stuart Taylor scored again as Mersham Sports picked up all three points in their 2-0 win at Brewmaster.
Taylor’s strike was added to by Nathan Simms as the villagers moved into fourth. Park. Skipper Dan Hawkes and striker Ashley Sales both added two more, with Kieron Wrigley adding the other. Andy Crouch and Ben Heffernan netted for Iden.
Kennington Sunday earned their first win, 3-2 at Stanhope & Beaver Rangers, with goals from Mike Hodges, Sam Cridland and Steve Johnson.
Harry Goddard got both Stanhope.
Cheriton AFC are off the mark after a 6-1 home win against newly promoted Lolzors. Ben Ashton, Ryan Hall and Ashley Boyd all scored twice, with Miguel Antonio pulling one back. for scored twice for the works side, with Aiden Shell, Mark Hopkinson and Paul Halliday, adding one each.
Burton Grove are still without a win after they threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 4-3 at 10-man Red Heathens.
Barry Willcox’s double and Kieran Burton netted for Grove, while Terry Godfrey, Dan Goodsell and Radislav Davidov were Heathens’ scorers, shrugging off playing a man short to record their first victory.
New manager Ben Mackenzie saw his new-look Lydd Grasshoppers side beat Mersham Sports Reserves 3-1.
The visitors took the lead through Adam Fairclough but goals from Frankie Steer, Brad Sparrow and debutant Tom Murray saw Grasshoppers home clinch victory.
