Pair fighting for life after road crash
A young man and young woman remain in a critical condition after they were hospitalised in a road crash in Kingsnorth.
The 21-year-old man from New Romney and 20-year-old woman from Canterbury were in a black Mazda MX-5 car that collided with a silver Ford Focus near the old ironworks in Ashford Road at 4.20pm on Saturday.
They suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash on their way towards Hamstreet.
By the time emergency services arrived one of them was outside the vehicle, while another had to be cut free from the wreckage by firefighters.
Both were airlifted to hospital in London by the air ambulance, while paramedics treated the 84-year-old driver of the Focus for minor injuries at the scene.
Officers from the serious collision unit are investigating the crash and would like to hear from people who saw either car during the crash or in the moments leading up to it.
