Countryside at risk of being swallowed

With reference to proposals for Court Lodge Farm (Farmland earmarked for 950 new homes, KE, September 15), my wife and I have lived in Steeds Lane for nearly 30 years and it is a wonderful location. We watched Park Farm being built and have been amazed and, for the most part, gratified by the increase in amenities.

Ashford is growing and is an incredible place to live. Kingsnorth and Steeds Lane I think embody most that we love about the borough. It’s an area of outstanding natural and historical beauty, close enough to the town but far enough away to allow us the peace we so ardently looked for when we built our house in 1989.
