Halloween fun on steam railway trains

There’s plenty of spine tingling tricks and treats for the whole family during Halloween at Tenterden’s Steam Railway.

The Kent & East Sussex Railway’s Halloween Fun Week runs from Tuesday to Thursday, October 25 to 27.

Attraction­s include pumpkin carving and face-painting and all activities are included in the ticket price which includes unlimited journeys between Tenterden and Bodiam Station on the steam and diesel trains.

Family TravelCard­s are £38 and can be purchased for either two adults and two children or one adult and three children. Adult TravelCard­s are £17 and children (3-15) can travel for £11.50. A special timetable will operate during October’s half term school break.

On Friday, October 28 the brave can take a ride on the Fright Night Express.

Be greeted with the beat of Drum Skullz and entertaine­d by the Fire breather. Once on board, be prepared to be frightened silly with ghostly goings on at stations with a firework display and a few surprises along the way.

Fares for Fright Night are £17 for adults and children, with visitors urged to come in fancy dress.
