Crash causes M20 delays

One lane of the coast-bound carriageway of the M20 was closed following an accident.

A vehicle left the road and overturned between junction 8 for Leeds and junction 9 for Ashford on Saturday.

Police were called at 3.48pm to the incident on the slip road of junction 8.

Officers at the scene were able to get the lane reopened within an hour. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters and paramedics also attended to make the scene safe.

A woman was freed from the car before crews arrived.
