Ashford’s John Wallis pub is among eight in their chain taking part in Proud of Our Ale Festival.

The start of the festival today (Thursday) comes during National Cask Ale Week, now in its 10th year.

A range of up to 70 ales are on offer during the festival, which runs until Monday, October 31.

Whether it’s real or craft, Britain’s favourite brew has seen a huge revival in recent years with one in two drinkers having tried cask and 16% trying their first pint at a cask ale festival.
