Shenton’s fab four are a Revelation

-

Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Barry White and Louis Armstrong all took to the stage at a Revelation St Mary’s show last Friday.

Shenton Dixon, who has appeared on The Voice, recreated the looks, persona and voices of these soul legends for the show at St Mary’s Church in the town centre.

The Legends of Soul in Concert Band provided backing for the while Shenton played guitar, trumpet, harmonica and piano.

He has performed in several West End shows and was the original performer at the Apollo in the worldwide hit musical Buddy.

He was also involved with the Motown musical Dancing in the Street where he performed alongside the late Edwin Starr and headlined the show on several occasions.

The evening featured a selection of soul classics from all four artists to the delight of an appreciative audience.
