Builders put housing ideas on the table

-

Housing developers have submitted a planning application which could see 150 new homes built off Pound Lane in Kingsnorth.

Pentland Properties and Jarvis Homes have asked Ashford Borough Council about the site off Ashford Road.

The site could contain a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties, and the developers have asked the council for impact assessments on matters such as traffic, flood risk, air quality and noise.

In the draft local plan up to 2030, the council said the land could be suitable for up to 100 homes, and said contributions would have to be made towards the cost of the new M20 junction 10a.

The application follows a similar ‘scoping request’ for 950 homes at nearby Court Lodge Farm, which was submitted last month.
