Kentish Express Ashford & District
Town centre full of tricks and treats
Visitors to the town centre are being invited to dress-up and join businesses for Ashford’s Halloween Spooktacular.
The event will take place in the town on Saturday, October 29 between 1pm and 5.30pm.
Head over to the Loveashford gazebo next to the bandstand on the Upper High Street, where the first 100 visitors can pick up an exclusive trick-or-treat bag.
There will also be a trick-ortreat trail around the town to collect free giveaways, a fancy dress competition and ghoulish stilt-walkers performing in the County Square shopping centre and the High Street.
The Lost Railway Porters will also be wandering around entertaining crowds with their mime act throughout the day.
Revelation St Mary’s will offer music on the bandstand between 1pm and 4pm, along with treats from Janet’s Soul Food stall, children’s workshops with Dreamshapes Crafts and live performances from Ashford Arts Centre at 1.30pm in the Park Mall shopping centre.
The event is part of Healthy High Streets initiative championed by Business in the Community, supported by Loveashford and Ashford businesses.
