- By Vicky Castle

Ashford’s popular Comedy Club is back at the International Hotel on Friday, October 28.

Three top acts have been booked for a night of stand-up at the Simone Weil Avenue venue.

Host comedian is Kevin McCarthy, Club Mirror’s comedian of the year.

With the ability to find humour in any subject, his warm personality and relaxed stage persona is renowned for putting the audience at ease.

He supported Lee Evans on his 2014 tour and is the regular warm-up act for Later with Jools Holland on BBC2.

Opening the night is Polo Mint Comedy award-winner Nick Wilty, known as the Globetrotting Comedian.

He has performed on every continent except Antarctica and won Best International Act in San Francisco.

Headline comedian Stefano Paolini is an impressionist, beat boxer and now a regular headliner on the UK comedy circuit.

Winner of the BBC’s new comedy award, he made his Edinburgh Festival debut with the one-man show Britalian – about his half-English, half-Italian heritage in 2005.

He has an impressive repertoire of voices and sounds and has performed all over the world.

Tickets start at £18, with packages available for meals and accommodation at the hotel.

Doors open at 7pm and the show will begin at 9pm.
