Care home to host veterans’ advice day

Royal British Legion Industries will run an information and advice day at Chamberlain Manor Care Home in Ashford next Wednesday.

The day at the venue off S i mone Weil Avenue is aimed at engaging with and supporting older military veterans living in the town.

I t will run f rom 10.30am t o 3 pm and will i nclude information stands run by community organisations, the chance to have a health check on the Wellbeing Bus, a foot care check service, indoor sports, an inter-active drama and entertainment from Miss Holiday Swing.

It is open to veterans, their dependents, f amilies and friends. There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day.
