Everything’s in

Fruit lovers flocked to the Perry Court Farm apple fayre at the weekend.

Visitors enjoyed morris dancing, shire horses, steam engines, craft stalls, an apple pie baking competition and an apple auction with more than 200 varieties of homegrown apples and pears on show.

Heidi Fermor, who owns the family farm off Canterbury Road at Bilting near Wye with husband Martin, said: “We were delighted with the attendance. We are lucky to have all our family to help us.”

The annual event was free to enter, but raised more than £5,000 from collections for the Pilgrims Hospice.
