School hands over cheque from race

An Ashford primary school has presented a generous cheque to Cancer Research thanks to pupils’ fundraising efforts.

East Stour Primary School raised donations in cash and on their Just Giving page for their Race for Life event in May totalling £3,859.86.

Fiona Barnes from the Cancer Research shop in Ashford accepted the cheque from pupils Kaiden Wallace and Macy Patterson.

Over 280 runners took part, including pupils, family, friends and staff.
