Simeon Fournillie­r claimed the scoring honours as North School Varsity Lions made it three wins out of three with a 73-40 victory over Robert Napier from Gillingham to claim an unpreceden­ted sixth straight Kent Schools League title He hit 10 points and 10 rebounds, as well as six assists and seven steals, picking up the game’s Most Valuable Player award after an impressive all-round performanc­e. He spearheade­d a 17-1 burst as North led 23-7 at the end of the first quarter, before Issy Solomon and Sean Trumper dominated the second, with 13 of the 16 points to leave them 41-19 at halfway. Harvey Kemp-Green scored seven of the 13 scored in the third as North’s shooting went cold in third, but they regrouped in the fourth, finishing with a 20-6 run to complete the win against determined opponents. Head coach Andrew Sunderland said: “Simeon is a rookie but is playing fearless basketball and is a star of the future.”
