HOME WIN MOVES LADIES UP TO THIRD

Ashford Ladies FC moved up to third place in the South East Counties Women’s League, Premier Division, with a 4-1 win at home to Eastbourne on Sunday. Ashford led 1-0 at the break thanks to an excellent strike from Sharne Douglas, and doubled their lead early in the second period through Kay Weeding. Further goals from Charlotte Marsh and Abigail Ingram sealed the win. Ashford are away at unbeaten league leaders Bexhill United (2pm) on Sunday.
