Remember, remember the fifth of November next week with plenty of fireworks displays for all the family.

So here’s the Kentish Express’ round up of the best events in the area. 1. The Farriers Arms pub in Mersham will hold the Farriers Fireworks Spectacula­r in the neighbouri­ng field on Saturday, November 5.

Guests can also enter their homemade Guy for an all-ages competitio­n, with the best Guy in each category winning £100 for a chosen charity or organisati­on. Entries must be submitted before 6.15pm on the day, for judging at 6.30pm.

Fireworks will start at 7pm, with the bonfire at 7.30pm and live music and a hog roast from 8pm.

Tickets on the night are £8 for adults, with £20 for a family of four. Call 01233 720444 for more informatio­n. 2. The biggest event in Ashford is set to take place at Ashford Rugby Club in Kinneys Lane on Saturday, November 5.

The event boasts real ales, food stalls and three outdoor bars. Gates open at 5pm, with the bonfire being lit at 7pm and fireworks at 7.30pm.

Kingsnorth School fireworks night, on the recreation field, will take place on Saturday, November 5. Tickets for the Parents and Friends’ Assocation event can be obtained from the reception of the school in Church Hill from 2.45pm to 3.15pm daily leading up to the event. Tickets will also be on sale on the gate on the night. Gates open at 5pm with the display at 6.30pm. Food and drink will be available to buy. All proceeds go to Kingsnorth PFA. 4. Great Chart Primary School in Hoxton Close, Singleton is holding its first ever fireworks display from 5pm to 6.30pm on Sunday, November 6. Tickets are available by emailing chair@gcfassocia­tion.co.uk and will also be available on the day, subject to availabili­ty. No sparklers aalowed. 5. In Tenterden, St Michaels C of E Primary School in Ashford Road will host a Star Wars themed fireworks night on Sunday, November 6 from 5pm, with the fireworks at 6.30pm. Stalls and refreshmen­ts will be available and fancy dress is encouraged. Tickets are available in advance, with a discount, from St Michaels Post Office or the school. Tickets will be available on the gate.
