Ho-ho-ho! Meet Santa in his enchanting grotto

There’s plenty of yo, ho, ho promised in Ashford later this month, with Father Christmas heading this way.

Santa Claus will be one of the main attractions at the town’s Festive Family Fun Day on Saturday, November 26.

His grotto, complete with twinkling fairy lights and snowy surroundings, will be located in Park Mall to make Father Christmas and his helper Elf, feel at home.

Children will have the chance to meet him and receive a handwrapped present. Visiting times are between 11am and 5pm and admission is £2 per child.

The grotto will be located between The Little Teapot and The Barrow in Park Mall.

Father Christmas will then be available in his grotto every Saturday from December 3 to 17 between 11am and 4pm.

From Sunday, December 18, through to Saturday, December 24, he will be there every day from 11am to 4pm.

The Festive Family Fun Day is being organised by Ashford Borough and town centre traders and will also feature a ‘Win this Window’ Christmas competition where residents have the chance to win prizes from local businesses.

One of the store windows in Park Mall will be packed with goodies from local shops such as gift sets, vouchers, stocking fillers and other great present ideas.

To enter simply fill out a competition entry form which will be available to collect from Wilko, Marks and Spencer, Greggs, Santander, Boots and EE, then return it to one of these stores.

The competition is being run in partnership with the Business in the Community Healthy High Streets initiative, and town centre businesses.

Another of Park Mall’s shop front windows will contain a special advent calendar detailing festive deals, with a different offer highlighted each day.
