Time is running out to be a part of Big Charity Quiz

-

Time is running out to enter your team into the ultimate charity quiz evening.

Celebrating its 11th birthday, the KM Big Charity Quiz raises thousands of pounds for good causes in south Kent every year.

Heading up the bar are staff from Barclays Ashford selling stock donated by Kent-brewer Shepherd Neame. The bank staff are hoping to be run off their feet delivering drinks to thirsty quizzers. As all bar proceeds go to local charities, participants can guarantee guilt-free drinking.

Teams of eight are required to take part in the challenge event, and online booking remains open until noon next Wednesday. The quiz is an excellent way for friends and work colleagues to get together, but also for organisations to boost their profile and have some fun.

Long-standing partner Office Angels is entering a team and challenging others to get involved. The company’s Lindsay Bonner said: “We’ll have lots of people running around on the night gathering answer sheets and more, but we’ll also have a team taking part.

“We are quite competitive, but if you fancy a challenge, be sure to come along and take us on!”

The quiz is being staged at the Stour Centre on Friday, November 18 and budding eggheads can now receive a discount by using code ASH16 when booking.

This reduces the cost per head to £7, which includes nibbles and snacks on the table, a complimentary beverage and a bottle of wine per table.

The top three teams from the heat will be invited to take part in the Big Quiz County Final at the beginning of 2017, facing rival quizzers from heats staged in Canterbury, Medway and Maidstone.

In his role as the KM Big Charity Quiz questionmaster, Simon Dolby from the KM Charity Team said: “Come and test your brain power and have some fun at one of our most popular annual events.

“There’s not much time left to secure a place for your team so gather your friends and colleagues and sign up today for a night to remember.”

Organisations supporting the event include Shepherd Neame, Barclays bank, Specsavers, Hallett and Co, Office Angels and the Stour Centre.
