Ashford men progressed to the next round of the Faithdean Kent Cup beating Old Bordenians 2-1 at Ball Lane on Sunday.

Robin Miller and Tom Goodwin were their scorers. They now face Tunbridge Wells in the next round.

Ashford lost 4-3 at home to Sevenoaks 2nds in the Kent/ Sussex Regional 1 the previous day. Adam Fox, Goodwin and Allan Dawson were the scorers.

The 2nds went down 3-2 at Holcombe 2As in Kent 1.

Skipper Matt Carter returned from injury to score a hat-trick and help the 3rds come from behind to beat Tunbridge Wells 6-1 and record their first Kent 2 win.

Wells went in front, before Andy Hill – back for his first game since the opening game of the season – made it 1-1.
