Charlotte Hole, defending, said Flisher had been on his way to a boot fair intending to spend money on his children, aged two to six.
She said: “He was speeding and should not have been driving in the first place. He didn’t pull over and make a clean breast of it, but drove off.”
Flisher had been diagnosed with ADHD when he was nine, which affected his assessment of situations, she added.
