Arrest after police chase

An Ashford man has been arrested on suspicion of a string offences, including possession of a firearm and drugs, after a police chase.

Officers chased two men in a car after it failed to stop in Dover Road, Folkestone, at 12.30pm last Wednesday.

The car was eventually stopped in Castle Hill, where two men were arrested.

A 35-year-old man from Ashford was held on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, possession with intent to supply and possession of a firearm.

He has been released on police bail until April 27. The other man was released without charge.
