Five-try recovery
Barbarians
Ashford Barbarians recovered from a poor start to run in five tries in a 25-21 Dragon Fire 4 East win over Thanet Wanderers 3rds. They trailed 10-0 at one stage, before prop Jamie Hardy and flanker Johann Delport combined for the first score. Thanet eased further ahead before Chris Rabjohns bulldozed his way over from a quickly taken penalty. The Baa Baas were reduced to 14 when centre Dave Ward was shown a straight red for comments to the referee before Thanet had two players sinbinned for infringements at the breakdown. Former Ashford man Elliot Cohen was unstoppable in the second row, diving for the line after a pickand-go five metres out and then another flanker, Mickey Price, profited from a wellexecuted driving maul from a line-out deep in Thanet’s 22. Tom Barlett then added the other try, shrugging off multiple tackles before going over.
