Father and sons’ venture enjoys wall to wall success
A new family business has been established in Ashford.
Turks Flooring is run buy a father and sons trio, specialising in carpet fitting.
Gary Turk, 58, has embarked on the new business venture with his sons Jason, 34, and Lee, 25.
Their showroom store is located in Stafford Close behind Victoria Park.
The family all have experience within the carpet industry, and made the decision to try their hand at their own independently run business last year.
Gary Turk said: “It’s going really well. We just want the business to be successful.”
Mr Turk, who has 32 years of experience in the industry, feels the family dynamic works, and the business is already seeing returning customers.
He continued: “It’s for my sons really. It’s for their future.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and something we felt we could do on our own.”
The family pride themselves on their personal service and spending time with their customers. Gary takes charge of the shop, while Lee takes measurements and Jason, who has over 16 years experience, does the fitting.
The independent business offers carpets, vinyl and laminate flooring, with free measuring and estimates.
The Turks also offer to take samples out to customers’ homes, while they can also move furniture at no extra charge, and operate an uplift and disposal service.
The store is open from 8am until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am until 5pm on Saturday.
