Fire on estate

Firefighters were called to a commercial building in Ashford after smoke was seen coming from a ventilation unit. The blaze started at Henwood Industrial Estate, in Henwood, and crews were sent shortly after 4pm on Wednesday of last week. A blockage in the ventilation system had caused a build-up of smoke and heat, but it was cleared by a fire crew, who left the scene within an hour.
