Come along for a feast of folk music and lots of laughter
Bellowhead star Paul Sartin is set to perform at Revelation as one half of folk duo Belshazzar’s Feast.
The talented musician, who is also known as one of the celebrated three-piece folk band Faustus, will join forces with Paul Hutchinson on the second destination of their UK tour.
Belshazzar’s Feast offers feisty folk music, wry humour, hair-raising talent and warm on-stage banter.
Sartin and Hutchinson have been playing together in this outfit since 1995.
In 2014, to celebrate 20 years together, the pair released their first live album The Whiting’s On The Wall.
It was recorded over two nights at The Pound in Corsham, Wiltshire, and critics praised the atmospheric and intimate sound.
This will be Sartin’s third Revelation performance after appearing in the 2015 Broken Hearted Ballads show, which also featured folk stars Emily Portman and James Fagan.
He returned again in 2015 with Faustus.
Sartin’s recent composition The Hartlepool Monkey was nominated for a British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors Award and both Bellowhead and Faustus have received a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award.
He has also received a 75th anniversary award from the English Folk Dance and Song Society.
Hutchinson is a talented accordion player with a unique style inspired by church organ music, violins and concertinas.
He is also an experienced workshop leader who teaches at Cecil Sharp House on a regular basis, Hands On weekends, Folkworks Summer Schools and Halsway Manor.
Tickets are on sale, from £14, and can be booked by calling Revelation on 01233 663201 or at revelationashford.co.uk.
