Kent is a hotbed for adultery, claims website

‘Infidelity Index’ issued by Illicit Encounters

-

A raunchy website says there are more than 1,000 would-be love rats hoping to cheat on their partners across Ashford.

Illicit Encounters has once again issued its Infidelity Index, which reveals that the town is the country’s fifth worst town for the number of people doing the dirty on a loved one.

The index reveals there are 1,252 profiles people using the website in Ashford, which indicates 1.85% of the town’s population could be cheating.

The figure is up on 1,180 recorded profiles last year, but as a percentage of population is less than Tunbridge Wells, which boasts 1,146 profiles, some 2.2% of the population.

It doesn’t end there for Kent though, as Canterbury has been named the 12th most adulterous city in the UK, with 5.58% of its entire adult population cheating.

Also rife with adulterers are Gravesend with 1.52%, Rochester 1.36%, and Margate 1.26%.

The site’s spokesman, Christian Grant, said: “Simply put, Kent is a hotbed for adultery.

“It not only houses the most adulterous town in the entire country, but with no less than nine towns in the top 140, very few regions in the UK can compete.

“We’d be remiss if we didn’t also point out that Canterbury, home of course to the Archbishop and principal leader of the Church of England, appeared as high as 12th on the city index.

“It appears that the Archbishop’s teachings are lost on his neighbours.”

The data has been compiled from IllicitEncounters.com, which is the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity.
