Pubs pro­vide Easter fun for all the fam­ily

A vin­tage-car trea­sure hunt, a char­ity duck race and an Easter egg hunt are just some of the fun ac­tiv­i­ties on of­fer in a group of pubs around Ash­ford this Easter.

The Ram­blinns group, which runs The Wool­pack in Ware­horne and the Five Bells in Brabourne, will be host­ing a se­ries of events over the hol­i­days.

The an­nual Good Fri­day duck race will take place from 10.30am on Fri­day April 14, on the Mil­i­tary Canal be­side The Wool­pack.

There will be Easter treats in store for the win­ner, and ducks can be bought from any Ram­blinns pub.

All pro­ceeds will go to The Sea­men’s Mis­sion.

On Easter Sun­day, the Ram­blinns Old Motor Club will hold a trea­sure hunt across Rom­ney Marsh.

Clas­sic and vin­tage-car own­ers are in­vited to fol­low the clues from mys­te­ri­ous marsh­men to lo­cate the prizes scat­tered across the Marsh.

The hunt will start from The Five Bells at 10am, re­turn­ing to the pub for lunch at 2pm.

All vin­tage and clas­sic cars are wel­come. To join in, call The Five Bells in ad­vance.

On Easter Mon­day, The Wool­pack will be hold­ing its pop­u­lar Easter egg hunt from 10.30am.

There will be lots of choco­late sur­prises for the chil­dren.

Guests can walk (or ram­ble) be­tween the three Ram­bli­ins inns around Ash­ford, us­ing the canal to nav­i­gate. Each walk takes around three hours.

There is also a Ram­blinns Har­rier Bus avail­able to pick peo­ple up or meet peo­ple along the way.
