Pubs provide Easter fun for all the family

-

A vintage-car treasure hunt, a charity duck race and an Easter egg hunt are just some of the fun activities on offer in a group of pubs around Ashford this Easter.

The Ramblinns group, which runs The Woolpack in Warehorne and the Five Bells in Brabourne, will be hosting a series of events over the holidays.

The annual Good Friday duck race will take place from 10.30am on Friday April 14, on the Military Canal beside The Woolpack.

There will be Easter treats in store for the winner, and ducks can be bought from any Ramblinns pub.

All proceeds will go to The Seamen’s Mission.

On Easter Sunday, the Ramblinns Old Motor Club will hold a treasure hunt across Romney Marsh.

Classic and vintage-car owners are invited to follow the clues from mysterious marshmen to locate the prizes scattered across the Marsh.

The hunt will start from The Five Bells at 10am, returning to the pub for lunch at 2pm.

All vintage and classic cars are welcome. To join in, call The Five Bells in advance.

On Easter Monday, The Woolpack will be holding its popular Easter egg hunt from 10.30am.

There will be lots of chocolate surprises for the children.

Guests can walk (or ramble) between the three Rambliins inns around Ashford, using the canal to navigate. Each walk takes around three hours.

There is also a Ramblinns Harrier Bus available to pick people up or meet people along the way.
