United in victory

Cup holders Danny Lye and Shaun Holland Jubilant Ashford United fans celebrated long into the night after their team came from behind to beat Cray Valley to win the Kent Reliance Senior Trophy on Sunday.

Hundreds travelled to Maidstone’s Gallagher Stadium to support the Nuts and Bolts in their quest for silverware.

And even though the team fell behind to a goal inside two minutes they fought back to win 2-1 – thanks to two goals from prolific striker Shaun Welford, 37.
