Thanks to all at William Harvey
I have just returned home from a week in ‘L’ ward at the William Harvey Hospital.
Hospitals often get a bad press but I only have praise for this well run and friendly ward. All staff were kind and helpful and understanding and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The cooked meals (available on request) were excellent with a good choice and hot. Lots of free drinks throughout the day. The ward floors were cleaned at least twice a day.
Patient dignity was well observed. All staff were very professional. However I did have to wait seven hours for the ambulance to come and take me to the hospital resulting on a large compression bruise on my buttocks.
I also had a two-and-a-half-hour wait for the ambulance to take me home. The ambulance staff, however, were very professional and helpful. Well done WHH ‘L’ ward. My sincere thanks to all staff involved. Well done! John Wigmore, Kennington
