Kentish Express Ashford & District

It’s a treasure trove for crafty bargain-hunters

-

A charity sale of fabric remnants, craft materials and equipment took place in Hamstreet at the weekend.

The sale in the village’s Victory Hall on Saturday offered new rubber stamps, stickers and patterns for card making, together with patterns and thread for cross stitch as well as fabric, trimmings and yarn. The items were all donated and the sale helped raise £859 for Canterbury Oast Trust.

The Woodchurch-based charity supports adults with a learning disability.

The money will be used for social events including theatre visits, musical evenings and weekly Zumba sessions.
