Comedy club back in town – it’s official
The Official Comedy Club is back in the Ashford International Hotel.
Three professional comedians will take to the stage to entertain guests on Friday, May 26 at the Ashford International Hotel, in Simone Weil Avenue.
The night will be compered by comedian Windsor, a first class host with a natural charm and warmth, who creates a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in any room with top quality material, mixing one-liners with storytelling.
Paramount Comedy’s Funniest Student finalist, Tom Houghton will be the opening act.
He has been writing and performing comedy for many years in plays, sketches and musicals and has worked the comedy circuit for the last few years with sharp wit and original comedy songs.
After studying for a master’s degree in Stand Up Comedy Tom reached the final of the Paramount Comedy’s Funniest Student competition in 2008.
Headline act Carey Marx was nominated for best show award at the Leicester comedy festival and has been a circuit favourite for years, mixing dark humour with mischievous delivery.
His wilful disregard for the controversial and delicate is tempered by his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places.
Tickets are £27 including a two course meal and comedy, or £25 for Comedy Club members, and £20 for comedy only.
Doors open at 7pm with the show time at 9pm.
