Captur-ing style and economy

-

Renault has announced pricing and specifications for the new Captur. Now featuring sportier styling as well as additional technologies, the Captur is priced from £15,355 and is available to order now.

During 2016, 215,679 Capturs were sold – earning it the title of Europe’s bestselling B-SUV for that year.

The front of the Captur has been designed in a similar way to that found on the larger Kadjar, while C-shape LED daytime running lights help give it a distinct look on the road.

As with the original Captur, a two-tone colour scheme is available. This allows buyers to choose between a variety of different paints for the car’s body, as well as a separate shade for the roof.

Inside, the Captur is fitted with higher-quality plastics, while a series of multimedia systems are the most notable changes to the interior.

Three versions of infotainment are available – R&GO, Media Nav and R-Link. R&Go is the most basic system, allowing the driver to access their smartphone’s functions via a universal cradle.

Media Nav features a seven-inch screen and incorporates satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and media functions. R-Link builds on this with full Android Auto smartphone integration, which allows Android users to access their phone’s main functions via a seveninch display.

Four engines are available with the Captur with an 0.9-litre and 1.2-litre petrol offered alongside a 1.5-litre diesel producing either 89bhp or 118bhp. The most frugal is the lower-powered diesel, which Renault claims will return 78.5mpg and emit 95g/km CO2.
