Derelict land to become car park

Plans are going ahead for a temporary car park to open on derelict land off Elwick Road, Ashford.

There are plans for approximately 100 car parking spaces to be put on the site, which will replace the majority of spaces that were lost due to the construction of offices at the Dover Place car park.

Construction is due to begin over the summer, Ashford Borough Council’s Joint Transport Board agreed last week.

The car park is set to be open for three years until the cinema complex on Elwick Road is finished.
