Rotary Club holds party for 95th birthday

It’s 95 years young for an Ashford fundraisin­g organisati­on.

Ashford Rotary Club celebrated its anniversar­y in style on Sunday, June 11 with a garden party at Spring Grove School in Wye.

The 120 guests attending enjoyed entertainm­ent from magician Chris Harding and singer Peter Dinsley, while raising money for local youth activities and the charity TB Alert.

The Rotary Club raises money for charitable causes. President Graeme Calver said: “I can’t thank the members of the club enough, not only for this event but also for the fundraisin­g throughout the year.

“The club supports many local charities, improving the lives of individual­s every year and has made a huge difference since it was founded in 1922.”
