Food at heart of county show

A new-look food hall will be showcasing the best of produce from Kent and further afield at this year’s Kent County Show. The show runs on July 7, 8 and 9 from 8am to 6pm at the Detling showground, near Maidstone. The food hall has moved from a marquee near one of the entrances to the Clive Emson Exhibition Hall at the heart of the showground. The area will see 50 food and drink producers displaying and selling a wide range of artisan and award-winning produce. Biddenden Vineyards will be selling their new range of sparkling Kentish Ciders and award winning Hush Heath Estates will be selling their Kentish wines. The show will also feature a dedicated cheese and wine marquee, hosted by Biddenden Vineyard. Produced in Kent will have a large area at the show featuring 40 of Kent’s finest small producers. A family ticket (two adults and two children) costs £45 in advance or £50 at the gate. Adult tickets are £20.70 in advance and £23 on the gate and a child ticket is £6.30 in advance and £7 on the gate. .
